MSeis are pleased to announce that we are currently working on a project with NPL. The scope of the project is aimed at verifying PAM array frequency response across the entire range of cetacean vocalisations. The aim is to test MSeis arrays between 10 Hz and 180 kHz empirically.
Managing Director Mark Higginbottom commented “This is a wonderful opportunity for MSeis to work with metrologists from the world renowned Underwater Acoustics Department at the National Physical Laboratory. MSeis are investing heavily in equipment to improve reference calibration of our hydrophone arrays utilising the new test pool and automated gantry at our Weston-super-Mare workshop facility. The knowledge and methodologies that NPL bring to the table will be invaluable for our future development”.
